GROUNDED INNOVATIONS
Founded in 2021 by husband and wife duo Matt and Emily Hamilton, Grounded Innovations is a premier electrical contracting company dedicated to providing exceptional service to local contractors and homeowners. With a combined expertise that spans decades, we pride ourselves on delivering quality craftsmanship that our clients can rely on. Matt's journey into the electrical world began in 1994 when he took his first job as an electrician during high school, wiring track homes just outside of Boston, Massachusetts. From an early age, he developed a passion for the mountains, fueled by a memorable experience when his father introduced him to a trail map of Squaw Valley USA. Inspired by the breathtaking landscapes and the thrill of snowboarding, Matt made the bold decision to move cross-country to pursue his passion. Settling in Truckee, California, he continued to support himself as an electrician, honing his skills and building a reputation for excellence within the community.
Over the years, Matt collaborated with various local contractors, sharing knowledge and expertise. In 2021, with the unwavering support of Emily, he made the leap to establish his own company, Grounded Innovations. This decision was fueled by a shared vision: to create a business that reflects their commitment to quality, integrity, and outstanding customer service.
Emily brings her own wealth of experience to the company, with a background in project management and office administration, paired with years of customer service expertise. Her dedication to client relations ensures that every project runs smoothly and meets the unique needs of each client. Together, Matt and Emily have built a growing team of skilled electricians, apprentices, project managers, and operations specialists, all of whom share their passion for craftsmanship and commitment to excellence.
As a family-oriented company, we believe in fostering a supportive and inclusive work environment. Our growing team is not just a group of employees; they are an extension of our family and share in our mission to uplift the community through reliable and high-quality electrical services.
When they’re not busy bringing their clients' visions to life, Matt and Emily cherish their time spent with their son, Dodge. They enjoy embarking on road trips to explore new destinations and create lasting memories together. In the winter, you can find them snowmobiling in deep powder, reveling in the beauty of the Sierra Nevada. Matt also takes to the water, competitively racing his Melges 24 sailboats in the stunning waters of Lake Tahoe and the San Francisco Bay.
